Aboud Jardaneh Access Fund

The Aboud Jardaneh Access Fund (AJAF) initiative is named after a local pillar of the outdoor adventure community, the late Aboud Jardaneh, a genuinely great man who has touched so many in a positive and profound way. To some Aboud was a distinguished businessman, to others a passionate organic farmer and to us a mentor and a champion for all outdoor adventure sports in Jordan. He was one of the first people to fund, support and promote the sport of rock climbing in Jordan, as well as show us a spiritual sense of connection to the natural environment and all its creatures. In his name we strive to make outdoor rock climbing more accessible and safer while also preserving the natural environment for everyone to enjoy and celebrate.

Established in 2022, this fund is a community-based initiative that seeks to maintain climbing areas around Jordan, support access, maintain and fix existing climbing routes as well as establish new ones. Through our efforts, we try to ensure easy access to outdoor climbing areas and further replace and upgrade climbing anchors and bolts. Direct donations, membership fees and a percentage of the federation’s revenue will go toward the AJAF. 

We strongly encourage our climbing community to donate to the AJAF to help support our federation. Direct donations and a percentage of the federation’s revenues will go toward the AJAF.
